This February, Upper Valley Career Center is celebrating National Career-Technical Education (CTE) Month. Ohio is honoring this month as “CTE on the Rise” to shine a light on the accomplishments of the 127,000+ high school students in our state who are engaged in career-technical education at one of 99 career centers.
CTE is accessible to every student in the state of Ohio - whether that is in their home school district, through a career compact, or at a career center like UVCC. Programs are customized in each region of the state to meet the local workforce needs in fields such as agriculture, arts, construction, education, engineering, health science, information technology and manufacturing. Whether a student is interested in going to college, getting a certificate or working right after high school, career pathways can be customized for any ambition or plan.
Also as part of CTE Month, UVCC will celebrate the following events:
SkillsUSA Week: February 6-10
FCCLA Week: February 13-17
Random Acts of Kindness Week: February 14-20
FFA Week: February 18-24
Black History Month
